HISTORIC LANDMARK
Anchored in Tradition
Nestled at the vibrant southwest corner of Bloor and Dufferin, the historic Kent School stands as a testament to educational excellence since 1908. Named for Herbert E. Kent, a distinguished Toronto trustee of his time, the school is a beloved landmark of our city's rich heritage.

The Historic Kent School
Standing at Bloor and Dufferin since 1908, the heritage-designated Kent School anchors Marlow’s rental housing community at the Central Tower with lasting architectural weight. Designed in the Edwardian Classical tradition, its symmetrical brick façade, stone base, pronounced metal cornice, and columned front portico were composed to express civic pride and permanence. The restoration preserves these defining elements, including reinstated heritage wood windows set within their original openings and carefully repaired masonry and cornice profiles.
By integrating this landmark at the heart of the community, Marlow creates a meaningful dialogue between past and present. Residents experience the craftsmanship, scale, and material richness of early 20th century architecture alongside contemporary design, resulting in a home that feels authentic, grounded, and deeply connected to its neighbourhood.
